Inclusive Play Skills Training Project & creative empowerment workshops for parents and professionals.
We deliver inclusive play skills training ranging from one day workshops to weekly programmes of classes. These are for parents and carers and groups such as teachers and foster carers.
The hands on courses explore why we play, the benefits of play for a child, new techniques and play structures. The courses include reflection and discussion and are open to all parents and carers of children with moderate and complex additional needs. We explore sensory play, music, multisensory storytelling, and movement and have fun! Techniques and approaches are adaptable to fit the age and needs of a child. There are discussions and opportunities to try out new structures and types of play. While the courses are suitable for those with limited experience of play, the courses are also designed to build on the knowledge that participants already have as parents and carers. We explore the potential for inclusive play together in a supportive and nurturing environment.
NEW for 2020!
We will be bringing you our new family project 'Wildheart' in Spring 2020! Our new project is growing out of the success and interactive practice of Otherworld our very popular and much loved touring multimedia installations. Wildheart will be experiential and unfold within an immersive multisensory multimedia self-contained environment themed on ancient, magical, wild woods of Britain. The audience will join performers and characters within our magical immersive theatre installation in an adventure full of surprises that unfolds around them. Join us for a magical journey into the heart of the wildwoods …..we will make camp together as the magic unfolds around us.
On securing funding we will be touring theatres and schools around East and West Sussex …..watch this space for more news as well as news on fundraising events!
